3000m PB

Post by bullseye » Thu Nov 18, 2010 2:41 am

Thought I would update the board on my lastest race. I ran a big 3000m pb last night taking off over 15 seconds from my previous best to run just over 8.30. The big breakthrough as come as a result of the influence of this board............................combining CV paced sessions with threshold runs and moderate mileage with small amounts of quality in the final few weeks. In the past I've run a lot more impressive sessions than in the months prior to this race but always felt exhausted early in races. The focus the last few months has been on controlled repeatable sessions walking away feeling like there was more to give.
A big thanks to Tinman and AP who have responded to private messgaes to help me out with certain training elements I was finding confusing.

congratulations.  15 secs off a 3000 is a great gear change.  Keep it up.
