The highlight of this Friday’s Diamond League meet in Paris has to be the matchup between Jamaican sprinters Usain Bolt and Asafa Powell in the 100m dash. While Bolt has been out with injury for most of the season, Powell has dominated the event, posting a league leading 9.82s in the process. Bolt is, of course, the world’s best sprinter with his unreal world record of 9.58. It will definitely be an entertaining race, and you can see it LIVE at www.universalsports.com at 2pm ET or on Universal Sports Network.
Powell was recently beaten by Gay who was out for injury for a while as well. I think that if Gay can beat Powell when he is returning from injury then Bolt can beat Powell when returning from injury. Bolt recently ran 9.83 as more of a rust buster race while Powell ran 9.82 after racing a few times and being well into his season. I definitely think Bolt is going to win this big time match up.
